Not many retail stores use rolling garment racks for display purposes, but they are a very neat and tidy way to display different ranges of clothing. I suppose the commonly seen use for rolling garment racks has been when the clothes are being transported from one place to another or the racks are just being used for storage purposes, stuck in the back of the stores.
Rather than your everyday clothing shop, the newest of trends has been for the boutiques to use rolling garment racks as displays, but when you think about it any clothing store can use them. They can be moved around very easily and held in place well as well, as they do have breaks on their castor wheels. You can use these types of mobile racks to keep your store looking clutter free and they are good to use in different ways for the ever changing fashions, that seem to change from day to day sometimes.
The rolling garment rack can also give the customer the feel that whatever is being displayed on them, will not be around for too long, which creates an urgency that they must have what they are looking at. Say for example you get a customer that looks very interested in a garment, but can not make up their mind and leaves, you know they will be back, so you move the rack or swap it around with another and when that customer comes back in, they are looking desperately in the same place for the one particular garment, but cant find it, then you take them to the place where you have put the rack and they think they have been very luckily in finding the same garment, because obviously someone else has bought the one they were looking at.
Round garment racks are another great way to save space, in the store and give a good look. You can keep different ranges of stock on one rack, or even show of a particular type of just one collection on the round garment racks. This can give the customer feel of being able to see all that is within this range, without having to wander around the whole store comparing different garments.
Round garment racks are seen a bit more in the larger of the clothing stores, for the reason that they do provide good displays, easy accessibility and save a lot of floor space, giving the customer the feeling of being able to walk around uninhibited whilst shopping.
Another use for any type of rack, is to be able have them as discount garment racks. When going into some stores they only use the rolling racks or the round racks, to display their discounted pieces. Every shop should have a discount garment rack, as this shows that your store is not so stuck up, that you would not even think of having anything at a discount, but also that the items on your discount garment racks are not always out of season stock. They can show that it is still good stock, just at a great value.
Another type of display that shops seem to have discarded over the recent years, is that of the shoe racks. How the shops want to display our footwear these days, all have to do with placing shoes and trainers on boxes at funny angles or lent up against each other. Shoe racks are designed with the purpose of showing people what the shoe looks like when you see it as you would when wearing it, in other words, your looking down at it. Though the shoe racks are designed for footwear, there is no reason that other things cannot be displayed from them.
There are quite a few different types of shoe racks, but the most popular and most versatile, do seem to be the wire variety. They hold the footwear well and do not cause clutter in the display area.
One great benefit of all these garment racks and shoe racks, is the fact that they are not just good for retail stores, but can also be used in the home, either as a space saving device or just a funky way to keep your clothes and footwear, whilst being easily accessible.
